Today I went to Stoke-on-Trent, the town that houses all the major pottery factories. They have biannual sales on seconds and discontinued items, with some sales on regular items, so my friend was kind enough to take me and show me the ropes. It was fantastic. I got loads of stuff I don't need, but that's okay, right??
I don't have pictures for you of Stoke, it wasn't that picturesque of a town. I don't have pictures for you of what I bought, cause you'll have to visit for that. I do, however, have a picture of a fascinating archway tucked to the side of the Emma Bridgewater store.
I'm not sure how old this arch is, but I was pretty fascinated by it. I didn't go through it, but it doesn't seem to lead anywhere new, just to the rear of the building. If you click on the picture you'll see what's so interesting about the arch outside the pottery shop. For the record, I tapped the plates. They're ceramic.
(hint- look at the top of the arch, the top of the pillars, and the bottom of the pillars)
